BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Keystone women's soccer earned their first win of the season after traveling to take on Brooklyn College and claiming a 3-2 victory over the Bulldogs.
Livia Hable (Pottsville, Pa./Pottsville Area) put the Giants ahead in the first half on a goal assisted by Brooke Freni (Glendora, N.J./Triton Regional). After Brooklyn answered with a goal of their own, Abigail Bateman (Edmeston, N.Y./Edmeston Central) added another goal to Keystone's total with an assist from Mia Brayboy (Lumberton, N.C./Lumberton) to give the Giants a 2-1 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Sarah Koster (Dumont, N.J./Dumont) scored the third goal off an assist from Kenna Bihlmier (Manahawkin, N.J./Southern Regional), and the Bulldogs fought back for another goal but ultimately ended the game giving Keystone the win.
This victory moves Keystone to 1-2-0 on the season over three non-conference match-ups.
Women's soccer will be back home on Saturday, September 14 to take on Bryn Mawr College at 6 P.M.
