LA PLUME, Pa. – United East Conference play opened for both the Giants and the Nittany Lions on Sunday afternoon when Penn State Harrisburg traveled to face Keystone College. The Nittany Lions came into this match with a season record of 6-3-1 and have added another win to the win column after defeating Keystone 7-0.
Penn State struck early in the game as Kobe Harris put up their first goal at the 2:55 mark. This was the first of five goals scored by the Nittany Lions in the first half as all goals were scored by different members of the team. Shayon Khashi started out in the net for Penn State and was credited with one save and zero goals allowed.
The Giants saw two shots from Hernan Goday and one shot on goal from Aidan Albertson (Sierra Vista, Ariz./Buena) in Sunday's matchup. Landon Keller (Provo, Utah/Timpview) was the starting goalkeeper for the Giants and made three saves in the first half of the game. In the second half, Hector Oliva (Montgomery Village, Md./Watkins Mill) took over in goal and made three saves while allowing two goals.
Keystone will be back home on Wednesday, October 2nd for their second conference matchup against Penn State Berks. This match is set to kick off at 7 p.m.
