MORRISTOWN, Pa.- The No. 9 seed Keystone College women's basketball team's 2024-2025 season ended as they lost to the No. 8 seed Saint Elizabeth University 72-56 Wednesday evening in the first round of the United East Conference Tournament.
Keystone finishes the campaign with a 16-10 record. Saint Elizabeth improves to 15-11 and will face top seed St. Mary's College of Maryland in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Anyah Ortiz (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) was rebound shy of a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds. Iysis Nickens (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) dropped 13 points. Malaysia Bryant (Harlem, N.Y./Thurgood Marshall) and Makara MacGibbon (Walton, N.Y./O'Neil) both scored seven.
The Eagles had three players in double figures as Yasminah White had a game high of 21 points with five assists, and four steals. Mya Davis recorded 17 points while Paige Neal tallied a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Laila Kendle grabbed a game high 16 rebounds.
The Giants shot 23.6 percent (17-of-72) from the field and 88.2 percent (15-of-17) from the free throw line. Keystone was outrebounded, 51-40.
