LA PLUME, Pa.-The No. 4 seed Keystone College men's basketball team saw its 2024-2025 season end as they were defeated by No. 12 Penn College 77-71 Saturday afternoon in the United East Quarterfinal.
Keystone finishes the year at 13-11 while Penn College improves to 10-17 and will face top seed Bryn Athyn College in the semifinal on Tuesday.
Daryl Coleman (Allentown, Pa./Southern Lehigh) flirted with a double-double as he had 28 points with nine rebounds. Tyler Fox (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons) dropped 19 points, seven rebounds, and three assists off the bench. Pete Laidley (Miramar, Fla./Pembroke Pines Charter) added nine points and eight rebounds.
The Wildcats had four players in double figures as Gavin Barrett scored 24 points with nine rebounds and four steals. Livingston Cross collected a double-double with 22 points and 15 rebounds. Donnie Bass Briscoe and Ronn Flood Jr. both had 10 points.
The Giants shot 37.9 percent (25-of-66) from the floor. They were outrebounded, 43-37.
