LA PLUME, Pa.- The Keystone College women's soccer team dropped their nonconference finale to York College (NY) 7-5 Wednesday afternoon.
Victory Frantz (Mifflintown, Pa./Juniata) and Brooke Freni (Glendora, N.J./Triton Regional) both scored twice while Sarah Koster (Dumont, N.J./Dumont) added one. Frantz recorded a match and career high three assists. Freni and Sara Godoy (Miami, Fla./Killian) chipped in with one. Goalkeeper Malaysia Bryant (Harlem, N.Y./Thurgood Marshall) made 11 saves.
For York, Stephanie Gonzalez tallied all seven goal for the Cardinals. Alisha Adams had an assist.
The Giants held a narrow 24-22 advantage on shots. Both squads had 18 shots on goal. York posted a 4-3 margin on corner kicks. One yellow card was issued.
Keystone (0-5-1) opens United East Conference play this Saturday, Sept. 27 at Penn State Harrisburg. Match time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
