WAYNESBURG, Pa.- A monster first half from Waynesburg would be the difference maker as the Keystone College women's soccer fell on the road to Waynesburg University 15-0 Saturday evening.
The Yellow Jackets tallied nine goals in the first half in route to the victory. Kylie Criddle led Waynesburg with a hat trick as all three of her goals came off the bench. Amanda Pepe scored twice with her goals coming nearly one minute apart. Her tallies came in the sixth and seventh minute, respectively.
Gracie Smith, Kya Huggins, Julz Mohrbacher, Brianna Roberts, Sophia Beratzon, Ryan White, Rylie Alexander, Jessi Jury, Isabella Norton, and Linzey Miller found the back of the net once. Jury led the team with three assists.
Malaysia Bryant (Harlem, N.Y./Thurgood Marshall) made 17 saves in the defeat.
The Yellow Jackets posted a 48-1 margin on shots with 32 of them being on target. They had two corner kicks in the contest. Brooke Freni (Glendora, N.J./Triton Regional) tallied the lone shot for the Giants.
Keystone (0-2-0) returns home to host Penn State Scranton in their home opener on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m.
