LA PLUME, PA- Emma Herman (Larksville, PA/Muhlenberg Christian Academy) recorded 14 saves and Jayda Price (York, PA/William Penn) put a second-half shot on goal as the Keystone College women's soccer team hosted St. Mary's College of Maryland in United East Conference action Saturday at the Keystone Turf Field and Track Complex.
St. Mary's earned an 11-0 victory, with all scoring coming in the opening half. The Giants played a scoreless second half to close the afternoon.
Herman played the full 90 minutes in goal and made 13 saves before halftime. Her first stop came at 4:55, and she added another at 7:31. During a busy stretch midway through the half, Herman collected five saves between 11:53 and 15:39, including two stops just 24 seconds apart.
She continued her work in net throughout the opening period, adding saves at 19:55, 21:04, 28:38 and 30:07 before making two more in the final six minutes of the half.
Price created Keystone's offensive opportunity at 67:25, sending a shot toward the bottom center of the goal that required a save. Herman added her final stop at 88:14 to help keep the second half scoreless.
The Giants stay home to take on Cairn University on Wednesday night at 4:30 PM.
