LA PLUME, PA- The Giants fell in a close battle to the Tigers of SUNY Cobleskill. Keystone's late comeback attempts fall short as Keystone drops their second to last home game of the regular season.

The Giants fell behind early in the contest, as the Tigers notched the first run of the afternoon in the first inning of play. Ethan Schimony (State College, Pa./State College Area) responded in the second inning, grounding out to second base, scoring Ray Moreta (Bergenfield, N.J./Bergenfield) to knot the game back up at one all.
The Tigers did not wait long to regain the lead, as they knocked their second run of the contest into home plate in the third inning. The Tigers continued to to push the lead in the fourth inning, knocking in their third and fourth runs of the game. The Giants offense remained dormant through the seventh inning of play. Cobleskill pushed their lead to six in the sixth inning of play.Â
The Giants offense came through in the sixth inning, knocking in three runs to cut the lead in half. Dee Rice (Spartanburg, S.C./Dorman) stood tall in the batter's box, getting hit by a pitch, scoring Ethan Schimony (State College, Pa./State College Area). Carlos Pascual (Paterson, N.J./International) singled to right field, scoring Dillion Bird (Westlake, La./Sulphur). Keystone's final run of the evening came on a passed ball when Emilio Portes (Miami, Fla./Monsignor Pace) crossed home plate. The Tigers added one insurance run in the seventh inning.Â
Keystone's comeback came up just short in the remainder of the game, as the Tigers defense stood tall.
The Giants jump right back into action on Friday, April 24 as the team heads out to Cairn University for the final regular season United East Conference doubleheader against the Highlanders. Keystone wraps up the regular season with a home game against Alvernia University, before heading on the road to take on Neumann University in the regular season finale.
