Ashley Powell

Powell joins the Keystone women's basketball team as an assistant coach for the 2018-19 season.

Prior to coaching for the Giants, Powell served as an assistant at San Francisco State under current Keystone head coach Kristina Danella in 2017-18. She also served as the Recruiting and Academic Coordinator where she assisted in signing eleven incoming freshman and increasing the team GPA from a 2.7 to a 3.1. 

Powell spent two seasons as an Assistant Coach at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She helped lead the Knights to their second ever Northeast Conference tournament appearance in 2015 where the Knights earned four All-NEC selections. She also served as an Equipment and Facilities Coordinator at FDU. She was in charge of facility maintenance and game day operations for baseball, soccer, tennis and basketball. 

Prior to joining FDU, Powell spent two seasons at Division II Urbana University as an Assistant Softball Coach. There she worked with hitters and outfielders. In 2014, the Blue Knights set a school record with 28 wins while finishing third in the Mountain East Conference. Powell started her coaching career in 2010 in Bradenton, FL where she spent time coaching outfielders and hitters at the State College of Florida. Powell was a three year letter winner for the Wright State University Softball team. She graduated in 2008 with her B.A. in Psychology.Â
