Hugh Kirwan '24 MS

Hugh Kirwan was promoted to head football coach at Keystone College in April 2025 after serving four seasons on the Giants’ coaching staff.

Kirwan joined Keystone in March 2020 as an offensive assistant before taking on expanded roles within the program. From 2021–2023, he served as the Special Teams Coordinator and Receivers Coach, and in 2024 he was elevated to Pass Game and Special Teams Coordinator. In addition to his on-field responsibilities, Kirwan also served as the program’s recruiting coordinator.

Prior to Keystone, Kirwan was the Offensive Coordinator and Special Teams Coach at Riverdale High School in Florida from 2018–2020. During the 2018 season, he helped guide Riverdale to a perfect 10–0 regular season and coached the Lee County Offensive Player of the Year.

Kirwan began his coaching career at Pascack Hills High School in New Jersey, where he coached from 2015–2017, working with quarterbacks and linebackers.

As a student-athlete, Kirwan played collegiately at Marist College from 2011–2014. He appeared in 44 career games with 22 starts, recording 104 tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble. He was named a team captain during his senior season.

A native of Montvale, N.J., Kirwan received his bachelor’s degree in communications from Marist College. He later earned a Master of Science degree in Sports Leadership Management from Keystone College in May 2024.
