Joe Gibbons

Joe Gibbons enters his third season as an assistant coach for the Keystone College men's basketball team. 

Gibbons joins the Keystone men's basketball coaching staff after serving as the head boys basketball coach at Mountain View High School for seven years. With Mountain View, Gibbons posted a 63-90 overall record with a 45-38 mark in Lackawanna League Division IV play.

Gibbons led the Eagles to two District II AA State Tournament appearances, two district championship appearances, and were Lackawanna League Division IV champions in 2020. Five players under his guidance signed to play basketball at the collegiate level. He was named Lackawanna League Division IV Coach of the Year in 2019. 

Before Mountain View, Gibbons was the assistant men's basketball coach at Penn State Scranton from 2012-2016. During his tenure, the Nittany Lions made three PSUAC playoff appearances which included capturing the 2013 PSUAC North Division Championship. 

Gibbons graduated from Penn State University in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in business. He later earned his master's degree in athletic administration from California University of PA in 2016.
