Shania Iglesias

Shania Iglesias begins her head coaching career at Keystone College in March 2026. 

Iglesias joins the Giants after both competing and coaching at State University of New York at Oswego, where she made an immediate impact both on and off the court. A four-year NCAA Division III student-athlete, Iglesias helped lead SUNY Oswego through one of the schools most successful stretches in program history. She served as a team leader, while also earning All-Conference Third Team honors while finishing as one of the conference's most prolific scorers.

Following her playing career for the Lakers, Iglesias transitioned into a coaching role as an assistant, where she gained invaluable experience in all aspect of women's basketball program operations. Her responsibilities included practice, scouting, recruiting, and player development, while also mentoring student-athletes and helping maintain a competitive team culture. She also contributed to recruiting efforts by evaluating talent, building relationships with student-athletes and their families, and organizing camp visits for Oswego.

In addition to her collegiate experience, Iglesias has been active in many youth basketball development camps, working with young athletes in YMCA clinics to teach fundamentals, teamwork, and confidence-building. Her emphasis on discipline, communication, and growth aligns directly with Keystone College's mission of developing student-athletes both on and off the court.

Iglesias earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a focus in coaching from SUNY Oswego in 2025. Now stepping into her first head coaching role, Iglesias will look to build a competitive and disciplined program while continuing to develop student-athletes into leaders on and off the floor.
