CSAC releases pre-season basketball polls

La Plume, PA (11-17-09) - The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) has announced its pre-season basketball coaches' polls, with the Keystone men picked third overall, while the Keystone women were picked fourth in the CSAC northern division.
The Gwynedd-Mercy College Griffins were selected first in both polls.
The Keystone men received 84 points, just two points behind second place Cabrini College. Gwynedd, who topped the poll with 99 points, received nine out of a possible 10 first place votes.
Rounding out the list on the men's side was Marywood (61 points), Centenary College (58 points), Immaculata University (46 points), Baptist Bible College (44 points), Neumann University (42 points), Rosemont College and Philadelphia Biblical University both with 15 points.
On the women's side Gwynedd-Mercy picked up five out of a possible 12 first place votes to take the pre-season honor. Neumann University was second at 126 points and Cabrini College third at 121. The top three pre-season selections are all participants in the southern division of the CSAC. Rounding out the south were Immaculata University (91 points), College of Notre Dame (34 points ) and Rosemont College (24 points).
In the north it was Centenary College leading the way with 100 points, followed by Marywood University with 93 points and Cedar Crest College with 84 points. Keystone was next with 54 points, while Baptist Bible College (50 points) and Philadelphia Biblical University (24 points) rounded out the list.
