La Plume, PA (5-20-09) - After a season that saw the Keystone College baseball team compile a record of 40-6 and a berth in the championship game of the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Regional, two members of the 2009 squad have been selected to the All-America Team.
Senior pitcher Brett Repard and junior third baseman Eric Groff each earned the prestigious honor after being named to D3baseball.com 2009 All-America Second Team.
Repard tied the Keystone record for wins in a season with 10, as he turned a perfect mark of 10-0. His 24 career victories rank him second all-time in the Keystone record books. Repard worked 69 and a third innings, allowing 17 earned runs on 58 hits, while striking out 55. Repard also finished his career with a 3.16 ERA, second best
all-time at the College.
Groff firmly etched his name throughout the Giants record book this past season, as the Conference Player of the Year led the team in batting with a .445 average. He also topped the team in hits (81), RBI'S (58), runs scored (63), doubles (15) and home runs (13). His runs and hits totals established new single season highs at Keystone, while his 13 home runs rank him second for a single season.
