ResultsScranton, PA – Keystone College's women's cross country team finished eighth overall at Saturday's Colonial States Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Marywood University at McDade Park in Scranton. The Giants totaled 216 points on the day in the nine-team, 5K race.
Marywood won their 11
th conference championship with 46 points on the day, eight points better then runner-up Immaculata University. Cairn University placed third in the event with 84 points.
The Pacers' Emma Doughman won her second-straight individual conference championship with a time of 19:45.6 and was followed by race runner-up Diana Cusick from Immaculata, who posted a time of 20:23.2. Marywood's Melissa Froh placed third with a time of 20:35.5.
Nicole Delevan (Forty Fort, PA/Wyoming Valley West) led Keystone by finishing 33
rd in the 74-runner field after crossing the finish line in 24:15.95.
Tameka Wood (Bronx, NY/DeWitt Clinton ) followed in 40
th place with a mark of 25:36.76.
Alexa Jefferis (Shenandoah, PA/Shenandoah Valley) and
Kelly Fisher (Weatherly, PA/Weatherly Area) placed 43
rd and 44
th overall in the field, respectively, with Jefferis posting a time of 26:18.16 while Fisher clocked in a 26:42.65.
Kristy Keller (Taylor, PA/Riverside), who was named to the CSAC All-Sportsmanship Team following the race, finished 56
th on the day after completing the course in 32:22.72.
Keystone will close out the 2015 season at NCAA Mideast Regional Championships hosted by Dickinson College on Saturday, November 14. The meet will start at 11:00 a.m. at Big Spring High School in Newville, Pennsylvania.
