Schraden, a freshman from Allentown, PA, is a graduate of William Allen High School. Schraden and her softball teammates are off to the program's best start in years at 8-3. Schraden toed the pitching rubber four times during the past week, turning in a 2-1 mark. Her first appearance was a relief effort against Baptist Bible where she allowed two runs in five and two-thirds innings of work. She struck out nine in the game. She earned her second win of the season two days later in a victory over the College of New Rochelle. In the team's 19-0 win, which was called after five innings, she struck out 10 and allowed just one hit. She also worked game two that day, pitching a complete game in a loss to University of Rio Grande. In that game she struck out two and allowed four earned runs. She capped off the week by helping the Giants pick up their first conference win, 9-6 at Immaculata. She again worked a complete game, allowing five earned runs and striking out seven. Schraden also turned in a solid effort at the plate, going 5-11 (.454) with four RBI and three runs scored.
