Delaware Valley rolls by Keystone, 72-54
Doylestown, PA (11-18-08) - Delaware Valley College took advantage of 35 Keystone turnovers as the Aggies rolled to a 72-54 victory over the Giants in non-conference women's action.
The victory moves the Aggies to 2-1, while Keystone evens its mark at 1-1.
Delaware Valley capitalized on Keystone's miscues by scoring 31 points off of turnovers. The 35 turnovers rank as the fourth highest total in program history.
The duo of Kim Vennera and Brittany Battinieri combined to score 43 of Delaware Valley's 72 points on the night, including 21 of their team's 35 first half points.
Ellen Fallon netted 15 points to pace the Giants. Jessica Kobesky and Leah Simko each added 11 as the Giants struggled from the three-point arch (2-10) on the night. Kobesky raised her career point total to 980 with her second straight double digit outing.
The Giants controlled the boards for the second consecutive game, out-rebounding the Aggies 48-40. Melinda Moore led Keystone with a game high 13 rebounds, while Kobesky added nine.
Keystone returns to action on Saturday 11/22 when they square off against Albertus Magnus at the Drew University tournament. Tip off is 6pm.
