Immaculata, PA (10-17-09) - Keystone netted two first half goals as the Giants kept rolling along with a 2-1 victory over Immaculata University in CSAC field hockey action.

The victory, the Giants eight straight, moves their mark to 11-2 overall and 6-0 in the conference, while Immaculata falls to 3-10 and 1-5.

Keystone wasted little time in getting on the board when Nicole Macedonio (Factoryville, PA/Lackawanna Trail) used a Kellina Yarrish (Honesdale, PA/Honesdale) assist to put the Giants up 1-0.  The Giants increased the lead to 2-0 at 21:06 when Brackney Brotzman (Brackney, PA/Montrose) scored off a Megan Thomas (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) feed.

The Mighty Macs cut the Keystone lead to 2-1 at 25:49 when Katherine Becker scored off a Lauren Bigos assist.  However, that was all the offense Immaculata could muster as the Giants came away with the win.

Keystone keeper Melinda Moore (Norwich, NY/Norwich) recorded two saves to the Giants.

The Giants will return to action on Wednesday at 3:30pm when they play host to Neumann.  The match will be played at Riverfront Sports in Scranton.
