Giants dominate Defenders in diamond action

La Plume, PA (3-20-09) - The Keystone College baseball team had all cylinders firing against Baptist Bible College, even playing on their home field as the visiting team had no impact as the Giants pounded out 23 hits en route to a 20-0 victory.

The victory moves Keystone to 10-3 on the season, while BBC falls to 2-3.

After a scoreless first inning Keystone got the bats going by pushing across four runs in the second inning.  Eric Gross and Ben Fish helped the Giants score three in the third as the duo went back-to-back for the second time this season to give Keystone the 7-0 edge.

The Giants would add a pair of runs in three consecutive innings, the fifth, sixth and seventh, before exploding for a seven run ninth inning.

Mike Hanley worked five innings of three hit ball to notch the win.  Hanley struck out six while improving to 3-0 on the year.  

Four relievers worked the next four innings with highlights coming from Brian Stern and Sean Brewer, who each struck out the side, as Keystone recorded 15 of the game's 27 outs via the strike out.

Esteban Meletiche carried the big stick for Keystone with a 4-6 effort, as she also cored four times and knocked in two.  Fish, Jimmy Ferraro, Josh Hinkle, Ryan Smyth and Juan Torres were all two-time hitters for the Giants.  

Jayson Rohena, Mike Millward, Donald Reese and Hinkle all recorded a pair of RBI's.
