Giants bombard Knights from long range; Lunger becomes all-time 3-point leader

La Plume, PA (1-30-10) - Spencer Lunger (Lake Winola, PA/Tunkhannock) converted six three-pointers en route to becoming the all-time trifecta leader at Keystone, as the Giants connected 13 times from beyond the arc for the game, en route to a 75-45 victory over Neumann University.

With the victory, their fifth straight, the Giants move to 13-5 overall and 9-3 in the CSAC, while Neumann falls to 9-9 and 7-4.  

Lunger came into the game just one three-pointer off the all-time Keystone men's mark of 187, which was held by Jajuan Davis.  The senior guard wasted little time in making the mark his own, as he converted two threes within the first minute of the game, his record breaker coming at 19:16.  

Neumann managed one lead on the afternoon, that a 3-0 advantage off the opening tip, after that the Giants took control holding the Knights to just 27% shooting in the first half, as Keystone built a 39-22 lead by the break.

The second half provided much of the same with Keystone in total control.  The Giants forced 15 Neumann turnovers, recording 10 steals, while committing only six.

Lunger finished off the day with a game high 18 points to go along with five assists.

Kenneth Hardnett (Plant City, FL/Plant City) and Malcolm Boone (Sugar Loaf, NY/Warwick) joined Lunger is double digits, with Hardnett netting 14 and Boone 10.  Hardnett grabbed a team high nine rebounds, while dishing five assists and recording three steals to complete his line.

Tim Benedix (Mission Viejo, CA/Capistrano Valley) added nine points, all coming via the three, while Tercel Taylor (Jackson, MI/Jackson) added eight points and three steals.  

Na'Sheed Linton was the only Neumann player in double figures, finishing with 10.  

Keystone will return to action on Monday when they travel out of conference for a 7pm contest at Lehman College.
