Groff has a day as Giants pound PBU

La Plume, PA (4-11-10) -Eric Groff had a career day in one nine inning game, as the senior third baseman connected on three home runs as part of a four hit day as Keystone College completed its three game sweep of Philadelphia Biblical University 21-2.

With the victory Keystone moves to 17-5 overall and 10-2 in the Conference, while PBU falls to 2-17 and 0-12.

In the three game sweep of the Crimson Eagles, the Giants scored 51 runs on 61 hits.

Groff also added s single to his three home run day, going yard in the first, fourth and fifth innings.  Groff drove in six and scored four.

Ryan Smyth and Yazy Arbello also went deep for the Giants, with Esteban Meletiche and Brian Del Rosso adding a triple and double respectively.

Arbello and Meletiche each finished with four hits each, with Arbello scoring four and driving in two, while Meletiche scored three and knocked in a pair.

Kory Leicht added three hits while scoring twice.  Gabe Torres and Del Rosso each added a pair of hits.  Torres and Smyth each drove in three, while Del Rosso and Ray Jackson each added two RBI each.

Jeff Frost worked five innings of one hit ball to earn the win.  Frost struck out eight and did not walk a batter.

The Giants return to action on Tuesday at 3:30pm when they play host to Montclair State.
