La Plume, PA (4-23-10) - Yazy Arbello hit two mammoth home runs, as Keystone College totaled five long balls on the afternoon as the Giants downed Immaculata University 16-8 in CSAC baseball action.
With the victory the Giants moved to 18-6 overall and 11-2 in the CSAC, while Immaculata fell to 11-19 and 5-8.
Arbello scored three times and drove in two as part of a three hit day, as the junior raised his season home run total to 10.
Ryan Smyth, Gabe Torres and Ray Jackson all added home runs as part of Keystone's 17-hit attack. Jackson led the Giants by driving in four, while Smyth knocked in a pair.
Keystone saw 13 different players record a hit in the game as the Giants scored in each inning they came to the plate with the exception of the second and fifth innings. Andy Vega and Eric Groff added doubles as part of their line.
Sean Brewer picked up his fourth victory of the year, allowing three runs on two hits while striking out six.
Keystone struck early by plating three in the first on RBI'S by Smyth, Roberto Santana and Edwin Padua. After Immaculata evened things in the third, the Giants responded with four in the bottom of the frame, which included Arbello's first home run of the game.
Keystone's two-run fourth was highlighted by back-to-back home runs by Smyth, also his10th of the year, and Arbello. Jackson added his fence clearer as part of a four run sixth, while Torres' solo shot in the seventh kept the Giants hit parade marching along.
The Giants and Mighty Macs will jump right back into it tomorrow for a doubleheader at Keystone. First pitch is slated for 11am.
