Cortland, NY (4-3-10) - Donald Reese drove in four runs, including connecting on a two run home run, as Keystone downed 22nd ranked Cortland State 9-6 in non-conference baseball action.
With the victory the Giants move to 11-5 overall, while Cortland falls to 15-6.
Keystone scored six runs between the fourth and fifth innings to erase a 3-2 deficit to take command of the game.
Reese also added a single to go with his home run and four RBI afternoon. Angel Fargas knocked out three hits with two runs scored and an RBI, while
Ryan Smyth drove in two and scored twice with a two hit day. Andy Vega added a double as the outfielder also recorded a pair of hits
On the afternoon the Giants banged out a dozen hits.
Jeff Frost worked five innings to earn the victory, allowing three earned runs, while also striking out three.
Trailing 2-0 as they entered the second inning, Reese knotted things with a two run single to center that scored Fargas and Smyth.
After Cortland took back the lead in the bottom of the inning with a run of their own, it was Reese who would give the Giants the lead back for good when he hit a two run shot to right with Vega aboard in the fourth for a 4-3 lead.
Keystone would string together five hits in the fifth inning, while also taking advantage of a Cortland error to score four more times. In the inning Smyth drove in two with a two run single to left, while Vega added a double to plate another run.
The Giants added an insurance run in the ninth when Fargas picked up a RBI single.
Keystone will return to action on Monday at noon when they welcome Neumann University to campus for a CSAC twin bill.
