Scranton, PA – Julie Youngman broke a 1-1 tie with an unassisted goal with just 9:28 remaining in regulation to lift Marywood University to a 2-1 victory over visiting Keystone College in the first round of the Colonial States Athletic Conference women's soccer playoffs on Monday evening. Marywood, the #4 seed in this year's postseason tournament, nearly took a just three and a half minutes into Thursday night's game, but a long-range shot off the foot of Amanda Allikmaa banged off the crossbar and stayed out. Chances were at a premium over the remainder of the first half, with the Pacers holding a 6-3 advantage in shots over the opening 45 minutes of play.
Fifth-seeded Keystone had a golden opportunity to take a lead just seconds before halftime when
Cassie Ehrhart (Stamford, NY/Stamford Central) played a ball overtop of Marywood's backline that
Jenna Moranski (Gardiner, NY/New Paltz) ran onto for a breakaway chance, but her shot from the top of the 18-yard box went just over the crossbar.

th minute when the hosts took a 1-0 lead on Brianna Bruster's third goal of the season. Allison Warner played a pass out to Bruster at the right corner of box which Bruster collected and in a shot to the far side-netting to put the hosts in front.
In need of an equalizer, Keystone pushed numbers forward and were rewarded in the 71
st minute when
Brittany Sugalski (Nanticoke, PA/Greater Nanticoke Area) collected a loose ball 25 yards from goal and launched a rocket that dipped in over the head of Marywood goalkeeper Aly Moyer to level the contest at 1-1.
The Pacers, who outshot the Giants by an 18-1 margin in the second half, regrouped after Sugalski's goal and began to pressure the visitor's backline and went back in front in the 81
st minute as Youngman dribbled through a pair of Keystone defenders before ripping a shot home to give Marywood the 2-1 edge. The Pacers held Keystone without a shot the rest of the way to punch their ticket to the conference semifinals.
