La Plume, PA – Keystone College closed out the 2015 campaign by splitting a pair of games with the University of Scranton in a non-conference softball doubleheader on Sunday afternoon at Edmunds Field. The Giants, who end the season with a 13-19 overall record, won Sunday's opener in walk-off fashion before dropping a 6-2 decision in game two to the Royals, who move to 17-15 on the spring.
Sunday's contests marked the final games in a Keystone uniform for seniors

Sara Schraden (Allentown, PA/William Allen), and
Karissa Worobey (Scranton, PA/Scranton).
Scranton took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning of Sunday's opener on an RBI double, but Keystone took a 2-1 advantage in the home half of the inning on RBI singles by Sawicki and
Kimberly Rivera (New York, NY/South Bronx Campus).
The Royals answered right back with six runs on six hits in the visitor's fourth to claim a 7-2 lead, but the Giants scored three runs on a pair of Scranton errors in the home half of the frame to cut their deficit to two runs.
Emily Long (Shamokin, PA/Lourdes Regional) made it a one-run game the following inning by driving in
Katie Thompson (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth Area) with a double to the alley in left-center.
Scranton pushed their lead to 9-6 with a pair of unearned runs in the top of the sixth inning, but Keystone would rally with four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to walk off with the victory. Thompson started the rally by singling home Worobey before coming home on an
Antonette Scialpi (Hughestown, PA/Pittston Area) base hit. Long then singled up the middle to bring in Schraden with the tying run and Scialpi then scored the game-winning run on a wild pitch.
Worobey earned her 11
th win of the season and 41
st of her career by tossing a complete game and allowing six earned runs on 12 hits while striking out five batters in the contest for the Giants.
Thompson and Scialpi had four hits apiece, Long had three hits and two RBIs, while Rivera finished the contest with a pair of hits for Keystone, who outhit Scranton 16-12 in the opener.
Jamie Hampsey allowed five runs on nine hits while striking out seven batters in the first four innings while Emily Simon suffered the loss after yielding five runs on seven hits to go along with one K in two full innings for the Royals, who were paced offensively by three hits from Shannon Stricker.
In the nightcap, Scranton took a 1-0 lead in the visitor's second on an RBI single before adding on three runs in the third inning to extend their lead to four runs after getting and RBI triple and single in the frame before a bases-loaded walk forced in the Royals' fourth run of the game.
Another RBI base hit in the top of the fifth inning extended Scranton's advantage to 5-0 before Keystone got on the board in the bottom of the sixth inning as Scialpi singled up the middle to drive in Thompson.
Another RBI single in the top of the seventh inning pushed the Royals' lead back to five runs before Sawicki capped the scoring with a solo home run to right-center. Sawicki's home run, which came in the final at-bat of her collegiate career, was her second round-tripper of the season and 11
th of her career to give the senior sole possession of second place on Keystone's all-time home run list.
Morgan Rentzheimer tossed a complete-game, five hitter to improve to 11-6 on the season for Scranton, allowing just one earned run while striking out six batters for the Royals, who were again paced by three hits from Stricker.
Worobey pitched her 24
th complete game of the season for Keystone, suffering the loss despite allowing just four earned runs and striking out two batters in her second, seven-inning effort of the day in the circle.
Thompson, Scialpi, Sawicki,
Lindsey Bucklaw (Carbondale, PA/Carbondale Area), and
Sarah Stacey (Shickshinny, PA/Lake-Lehman) accounted for the Giants' five hits in the game two setback.
