Baltimore, MD – Keystone College's men's soccer team earned their second-straight shutout victory to start the season on Friday night as the Giants defeated Bethany College 3-0 on the opening night of the Johns Hopkins University Tournament.
Eddy Enowbi (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook) scored two goals to lead Keystone (2-0) and
Abreham Kittel (Trumansburg, NY/Charles O. Dickerson) recorded two assists in the victory while
Djavan Guy (New York, NY/St. John's Prep) also scored in the victory.
Starting goalkeeper
Adam Zbiciak (Saint Johns, MI/St. Johns) made five saves in 83:12 of action to stretch his clean sheet stretch to 173:12 to start the season while
Steven Heintz, Jr. (Ardsley, PA/Abington) played the final 6:48 in net without being forced for make a save to earn the shutout.
Keystone got all the scoring they would need in the first half as the Giants netted all three of their goals in a 24-minute span. In the 20
th minute, Kittel fed a ball forward to Enowbi, who slotted home a shot from 12 yards out to give Keystone the early lead. Enowbi doubled Keystone's lead in the 24
th minute, accepting a long pass from Kittel and depositing another shot into the back of the net to give the Giants a two-goal advantage.
Guy's first collegiate goal in the 44
th minute made it a 3-0 game. Kittel once again served as the playmaker, crossing a ball from the right side of the penalty area to Guy, who buried the opportunity to put the game out of reach.
Keystone, who held a 9-5 advantage in shots in the first half, limited Bethany (0-2) to just three shots in the second half and finished the game with an 11-8 edge in shots for the game while generating six corner kicks to just one for the Bison.
Bethany starting netminder Callum Appleby conceded a pair of goals in 66:16 of action in suffering the loss before being relieved by Riley Harrison, who made one save in the final 23:44 of action in goal for the Bison.
Enowbi's two-goal effort was his fourth multi-goal game of his career while Kittel's three helpers are tied for the third most by a Keystone player in program history.

Keystone will be right back in action on Saturday night when they take on host Johns Hopkins University in a non-conference game starting at 9:00 p.m. in Baltimore.
