Field Hockey Hosting “Blue For Tashandra” Game on Saturday

Proceeds will go to scholarship in memory of former Keystone student Tashandra Burton

La Plume, Pa. – Keystone College's field hockey game on Saturday, October 15 has been designated by the team as a "Blue for Tashandra" game that will be played in memory of former Keystone student Tashandra Burton.  All proceeds from the contest, a Colonial States Athletic Conference game against Immaculata University starting at 12:00 p.m. on the turf field, will go directly to the "Tashandra Burton Living Memorial Fund."

Tashandra Burton was a freshman at Keystone when she tragically lost her life in an automobile accident on January 26, 2016.  She was a 2015 graduate of E.L. Meyers High School where she was a member of the girls' soccer team, was the Homecoming Queen, an academic tutor, and a member of the National Honor Society.

In her short time at Keystone, Tashandra was a member of Colleges Against Cancer and had an infectious smile that touched many hearts.

Keystone's field hockey team will be accepting donations at the "Blue For Tashandra" game on October 15 which will go to the "Tashandra Burton Living Memorial Fund," a scholarship that has been established in loving memory of Tashandra.  The scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding student who resembles all of the living characteristics that Tashandra worked so hard to accomplish.
