Cavaliers claim rematch of 2016 CSAC championship match

La Plume, Pa. – Cabrini University cruised to a three-set sweep of host Keystone College in the rematch of last fall's Colonial States Athletic Conference championship match on Tuesday night in the Gambal Athletic Center.  The Cavaliers lift their record to 9-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play while the Giants slip to 3-7 (1-1 CSAC) on the year.

Cabrini came out strong on Tuesday, winning the first set 25-10 before taking a two-games-to-none lead with a 25-15 triumph in the second game.  The Cavaliers closed out the match with a 25-16 decision in the third set.

Steph Judkins led Cabrini with 13 kills while Morgan Collito added nine and match-highs of 11 digs and three aces.  Olivia Blankenbiller handed out a match-high 25 assists for the Cavaliers, who posted a .446 hitting percentage as a team in the win.

Amanda Hardy (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock) paced Keystone's attack with six kills while Nicole Frascati (Yonkers, N.Y./Yonkers), Taylor Beatty (Virginia Beach, Va./Ocean Lakes), and Kristen Larkin (Williamstown, N.J./Williamstown) added five kills apiece.

Malley Bowen (Owego, N.Y./Tioga Central) dished out 15 assists for the Giants while Larkin served up the host's only two aces in the loss to go along with a team-best six digs.

Nathalie Ortiz (New Milford, N.J./New Milford) added a pair of blocks for Keystone, which hit .197 as a team on the evening.

The Giants will travel to Allentown on Thursday evening to square off against Cedar Crest College in a CSAC match starting at 7:00 p.m.
