ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Oct. 10, 2018 - Sophomore Heaven Houck (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) scored her first goal of the season - a penalty stroke in the 41st minute - as the Keystone College field hockey team held off host Cedar Crest 1-0 in CSAC action on Wednesday evening.

With the victory, the Giants improve to 8-4, 3-0 CSAC and will prepare to host league opponent Notre Dame of Maryland on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 1 pm for Senior Day and Homecoming.

On Saturday, Keystone will honor its four senior members in a pre-game ceremony: Kayla Bain (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey), Alex Smith (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin), Allison Berman (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./E.L. Meyers) and Emily Hawkins (Glenside, Pa./Cheltenham).

On Sunday, Oct. 14, Keystone & Bryn Athyn will conclude a suspended game from Oct. 2, with the Giants leading 4-0 with 25:57 in the second half.

The Giants held an 8-4 shots advantage, with six going on cage, but the Falcons (4-7, 3-2 CSAC) held a 12-4 edge in penalty corner opportunities.

Smith led the attack with three shots while Bain and junior Savanna Robinson (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) both fired off two shots each.

Junior Megan Novak (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) played all 70 minutes and made two saves in the victory, her second win this year.
