Field Hockey Enjoys 6-0 Win Over Bryn Athyn

La PLUME, Pa. - Oct. 14, 2018 - The Keystone College field hockey team cruised to a 6-0 CSAC win over visiting Bryn Athyn on Sunday, a resumption of a suspended game from Oct. 2.

Leading 4-0 with 25:57 to play in the second half, the game was halted last Tuesday due to thunderstorms. The Giants scored two goals on Sunday to complete the last leg of the match.

Junior Savanna Robinson (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) finished with two goals and one assist, firing 10 shots on cage. Senior Kayla Bain (Lancaster, Pa./J.P. McCaskey) tallied one goal and two assists and junior Amy Llewellyn (Plains, Pa./Coughlin) enjoyed a two-goal outing.

Freshman Brittany Vasquez (Pine Bush, N.Y./Pine Bush) registered her first-career goal while senior Allison Berman (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./E.L. Meyers) and sophomore Jackie Martin (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) both notched assists.

Junior Megan Novak (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) earned the win and shared the shutout with senior Emily Hawkins (Glenside, Pa./Cheltenham).

With the victory, the Giants move to 10-4 (5-0 CSAC) and will host Wilson on Wednesday, Oct. 17 at 4 pm. Bryn Athyn falls to 2-8 (1-4 CSAC).
