Tounkara’s Game-Winner Lifts Men’s Soccer Past Wilson 2-1

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Oct. 20, 2018 - Junior Ibrahim Tounkara (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) scored his second game-winning goal of the season on Saturday to lift the Keystone College men's soccer team past host Wilson 2-1 in CSAC action.

With the victory, the Giants improve to 10-3-1 (5-1-0 CSAC) and will return home to host Berkeley (N.Y.) in a non-conference match on Monday, Oct. 22 at 4 pm before preparing for the CSAC postseason, with seedings still to be determined. Wilson drops to 3-8-3 (2-2-1 CSAC).

The Phoenix got on the board in just the 20th minute to claim a 1-0 lead, which stood through halftime and late into the second half.

In the 86th minute, junior Daniel Zuniga (Lakeland, Fla./McKeel Academy) - the reigning CSAC Offensive Player of the Week - scored his team and league leading 12th goal of the year off an assist from freshman MarDayus Bothwell (Gadsden, Ala./Gadsden City), for the equalizer as both teams headed to overtime.

Just 2:27 into the extra session, Tounkara capitalized on a Wilson turnover and beat the keeper 1 v. 1 for the game winner. Tounkara scored the game-winning goal in double overtime at Elizabethtown to start the year back on Aug. 31.

Overall, the Giants outshot the Phoenix 20-6, with five shots on frame, as well as holding a 9-1 corner kick edge.
