Men’s Soccer Suffers 5-3 Setback to Berkeley

La PLUME, Pa. - Oct. 22, 2018 - The Keystone College men's soccer team fell to visiting Berkeley College (N.Y.) 5-3 in non-conference action on Monday afternoon to conclude the 2018 regular season.

Both teams are now 10-4-1 overall as Keystone will prepare for the CSAC postseason, starting on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 7 pm at home, with the opponent still to be determined.

The Knights scored in just the fourth minute of play before senior Elmer Ramos (Kissimmee, Fla./Lakenheath American) tacked on the equalizer in the 33rd minute off an assist from junior Jarrett Nemeth (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area).

In the 36th minute, the Knights went ahead 2-1 which stood until halftime.

Berkeley went on to score in the 51st, 68th and 81st minute to take a commanding 5-1 lead before sophomore Christian Byayingabo (Baltimore, Md./Dundalk) scored in the 89th minute - off a set piece pass from freshman Sebastian Bonilla (Clermont, Fla./East Ridge).
Bonilla
 wrapped up the scoring on a penalty kick in the 90th minute.


Freshman keeper Marcelo Polar (Lima, Peru/Sarasota Military Academy) suffered the defeat while making six stops.
