La PLUME, Pa. – Oct. 27, 2018 – The Keystone College men's soccer team tallied three first-half goals and held off visiting Centenary (N.J.) in the CSAC Semifinals on Saturday night to advance to the league finals.

The Giants improve to 11-4-1 on the year and will await the winner of No. 1 Cairn vs. No. 4 Wilson tomorrow. The Cyclones end the year at 8-9-0.

In the 22nd minute, sophomore Khadim Thiam (New York, N.Y./Washington Irving) – the 2018 CSAC Defensive Player of the Year – ripped in a mid-volley pass from junior Daniel Zuniga (Lakeland, Fla./McKeel Academy) – the 2018 CSAC Offensive Player of the Year – to give Keystone a 1-0 lead.

In the 25th minute, junior Andrew Lupinacci (Stratford, N.J./Sterling) gave Keystone a 2-0 edge, again assisted by Zuniga, for his third goal of the year. Zuniga enjoyed a goal of his own in the 33rd minute – assisted by senior Jordan Vance (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan) – to increase the Giants' advantage to 3-0, which stood until halftime.

In the 63rd minute, Centenary capitalized on an own goal by Keystone to get on the board at 3-1 but the Giants were able to hold off the Cyclones and advance to the title match.

Overall, the Cyclones held the edge in shots (17 to 9) and corners (6 to 4) but Keystone was able to capitalize on set pieces and long throw-ins in the first half to take the semifinal win.
