WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - Oct. 23, 2018 - Playing in the final non-conference match of the fall, the Keystone College women's soccer team dropped a 7-0 decision at King's College on Tuesday night.
The Giants are now 4-12-1 overall and will host Cairn on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 4 pm in the CSACÂ regular season finale, with the No. 3 seed for the postseason on the line. The Lady Monarchs, meanwhile, improve to 7-8-0.
Junior keeper
Rebekah Shepherd (South Canaan, Pa./Western Wayne) made 18 saves on the evening, for her 10th contest this season with double-digit saves and her fifth game with 15 or more saves. Shepherd currently ranks 24th in NCAA Division III in saves per game.
Sophomore
Faith Shiffer (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove) led the Giants with two shots, both on frame.
King's led 1-0 at intermission after an early goal in the second minute of play. In the second half, the Lady Monarchs scored six times to put the match out of reach.
