Men’s Basketball Drops Season Opener at Oneonta 91-73

ONEONTA, N.Y. - Nov. 10, 2018 - Four student-athletes finished in double digits for the Keystone College men's basketball team but the Giants fell 91-73 at SUNY Oneonta in the 2018-19 season opener for both squads on Saturday night.

The Giants (0-1) will take on Washington College (Md.) on Friday, Nov. 16 at 5 pm in the first game of the Case Western Reserve Tournament, followed by a contest against either the host Spartans or Franciscan on Saturday, Nov. 17. The Red Dragons improve to 1-0.

Junior Jalen Flynn (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) led offense with 16 points (6-of-14) to go along with three boards and two steals. Juniors Javonte Matthews (North Hollywood, Calif./North Hollywood) and Ray Mills (Philadelphia, Pa./Overbrook) both tallied 14 points apiece, as Matthews grabbed eight rebounds while Mills enjoyed three steals.

Senior Terrence Bowman (Ewing, N.J./Ewing) shot 8-of-14 from the foul line to finish with 10 points and a team-high three assists. Freshman Derrick Donigan (Mt. Washington, Ky./Bullitt East) led the Giants with nine boards and freshman Tyler Sebastian (Ledyard, Conn./Lee Academy) enjoyed a game-high three blocks off the bench.
