La PLUME, Pa. - Nov. 10, 2018 - Junior Maddy Moro (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) registered a double-double with 24 points and 19 rebounds to lift the Keystone College women's basketball team to a 78-49 win over visiting John Jay College in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

The win moves the Giants to .500 at 1-1 and gives head coach Kristina Danella her first win at the helm of the Keystone program. The Giants will travel to Misericordia on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 6 pm. The Bloodhounds open the year at 0-1.

Moro led all players with 24 points, going 12-of-18 from the field, and 19 rebounds, grabbing eight offensive boards alone. Sophomore Khaliah Gordon (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood) tallied 15 points, making three shots from deep range, while recording nine boards, eight steals and five assists.

Sophomore Faith Shiffer (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove) notched 11 points, seven boards, five assists and three steals while classmate Bre Moore (Charleston, W.Va./Pennwood) enjoyed 11 points, seven assists and four rebounds. Senior Mayah Kitchen (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) turned in eight points and eight boards.

The Giants led 12-5 after one quarter of play and led by just four, 32-28, at halftime, before a commanding 24-9 third quarter and 22-12 fourth quarter put the game out of reach for the visiting Bloodhounds.
