Women’s Basketball Falls 67-49 at Misericordia

DALLAS, Pa. - Nov. 14, 2018 - Sophomore Bre Moore (Charleston, W.Va./Pennwood) and junior Maddy Moro (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) scored 15 and 14 points, respectively, but the Keystone College women's basketball team fell on the road at Misericordia 67-49 in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

With the defeat, the Giants fall to 1-2 on the year and will participate in the Gwynedd Mercy Tournament from Nov. 16-17, playing the host Griffins on Friday, Nov. 16 at 6 pm. The Cougars improve to 2-0.

Moore finished with 15 points, shooting 6-of-21 from the field, while also collecting three assists. Moro - the reigning CSAC Offensive Player of the Week - tallied 14 points on 6-of-16 shooting, while grabbing a team-high seven boards.

Sophomore Khaliah Gordon (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood) - the reigning CSAC Defensive Player of the Week - followed with seven points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Following a 23-7 first quarter in favor of Misericordia, the Giants limited the Cougars to only 14 second-quarter points and trailed 37-15 at halftime. After the break, Keystone outscored the hosts 22-21 in the third and 12-9 in the fourth, but the slow start in the beginning of the contest came back to haunt the Giants.
