GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. - Nov. 16, 2018 - Four student-athletes finished in double figures for the Keystone College women's basketball team but the Giants could not hold off a strong second half by host Gwynedd Mercy and fell to the Griffins 69-65 in the opening game of the Gwynedd Mercy Tip-Off Tournament on Friday.

The Giants fall to 1-3 and will face either Albright or Salisbury tomorrow at 12 pm. The Griffins move to 1-1 on the year.

Junior Maddy Moro (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) finished with a double-double, recording a team-high 13 points and led the way on the glass with 13 boards, seven of the offensive variety. Sophomore Khaliah Gordon (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood) also enjoyed a double-double of her own, tallying 11 points and 10 boards, to go along with three steals.

Junior Savanna Robinson (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) dropped 12 points off the bench, going 3-for-3 from downtown while sophomore Bre Moore (Charleston, W.Va./Pennwood) tallied 10 points and a team-best four assists.

The Giants jumped out to a 26-13 lead after one quarter of play and after outscoring the Griffins 19-10 in the second period, Keystone claimed a 45-23 lead at halftime.

The second half was another story, however, as the Griffins went on a 20-2 run in the third quarter and outscored the Giants 26-18 in the final period to hand Keystone the tough loss.
