Women’s Basketball Drops 87-71 Decision to King’s

La PLUME, Pa. – Nov. 20, 2018 – Sophomore Bre Moore (Charleston, W.Va./Pennwood) scored 23 points and junior Maddy Moro (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) followed with 22 points but the Keystone College women's basketball team fell to visiting King's College 87-71 in non-conference action on Tuesday night.

With the loss, the Giants fall to 1-5 and will host Wilson College on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 6 pm in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opener.The Lady Monarchs improve to 2-2 on the year and have now won seven straight against Keystone dating back to the 2009-10 season.

Moore scored her game-high 23 points behind 8-of-15 shooting and a 6-of-10 outing from the foul line. The sophomore provided five boards, four assists and a block as well.

Moro, meanwhile, finished 10-of-16 from the field and pulled down five rebounds to go along with two steals.

Senior Mayah Kitchen (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) tallied 13 points, seven rebounds and two helpers while junior Savanna Robinson (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) finished with six points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Sophomore Samy Farah (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) registered six points and five rebounds in the defeat.

The Giants won the first quarter, 21-17, before the Lady Monarchs outscored Keystone 28-18 in the second period to take a 45-39 lead at halftime. King's enjoyed a 24-17 third quarter and held off Keystone in the fourth to hand the Giants the non-league loss.
