Women’s Basketball Earns 60-41 Win Over Wilson in CSAC Opener

La PLUME, Pa. - Nov. 28, 2018 - Four student-athletes finished in double figures for the Keystone College women's basketball team on Wednesday as the Giants defeated visiting Wilson College 60-41 in the CSAC opener for both squads.

Keystone improves to 2-5 (1-0 CSAC) as the Giants head to Bryn Athyn in a CSAC contest on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 1 pm. The Phoenix move to 2-2 (0-1 CSAC).

Sophomore Khaliah Gordon (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood) and senior Mayah Kitchen (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) both finished with 14 points each as Gordon shot 5-of-14 from the field (4-of-11 from three), to go along with six boards, five assists and steals. Kitchen shot 4-of-13 from the floor (2-of-6 from deep) and grabbed five rebounds.

Sophomore Faith Shiffer (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove) finished with 13 points, going 3-of-7 from downtown, and led the offense with six assists while tallying three boards and two steals. Junior Savanna Robinson (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) enjoyed 11 points, going 2-of-5 from three, and paced the defense with a game-high six steals.

Junior Maddy Moro (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) finished with a team-high 15 rebounds (12 defensive) while leading the defense with three blocks.

The Giants enjoyed a 21-13 first quarter and claimed a 39-23 lead at intermission. Wilson outscored Keystone 14-8 in the third but the Giants ran away with the game in the fourth, outscoring the Phoenix 13-4.
