Men’s Basketball Drops 79-74 Decision at Bryn Athyn


BRYN ATHYN, Pa. - Dec. 1, 2018 - Freshman Derrick Donigan (Mt. Washington, Ky./Bullitt East) scored a career-high 23 points but the Keystone College men's basketball team fell at Bryn Athyn 79-74 in CSAC action on Saturday.

With the defeat, the Giants fall to 0-6 (0-1 CSAC) and will head to Marywood on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7 pm. The Lions improve to 2-3 (1-0 CSAC).

Donigan scored his game-high 23 points behind 9-of-15 shooting from the field and 5-of-10 shooting from the charity stripe, while also providing seven rebounds and two assists.

Joining Donigan in double figures was junior Javonte Matthews (North Hollywood, Calif./North Hollywood), who poured in 18 points (7-of-12 from the field) while contributing seven rebounds before fouling out. Freshman Tyler Sebastian (Ledyard, Conn./Lee Academy) tallied 12 points (5-of-8 from the field).

Senior Devin Stricklin (Midland, Tex./Pro Vision Prep) dished out a game-high seven assists in the loss.

The Giants trailed by just eight at halftime, 36-28, and outscored the Lions 46-43 in the second period. However, Keystone was plagued by 5-of-22 shooting from deep (22.7 percent) and 20 turnovers, as Bryn Athyn scored 25 points off of Giant miscues.
