La PLUME, Pa. – Dec. 17, 2018 – Junior
Javonte Matthews (North Hollywood, Calif./North Hollywood) scored a team-high 17 points but the Keystone College men's basketball team fell to visiting SUNY Potsdam 81-69 on Monday night in non-conference action.
With the loss, Keystone drops to 0-9 and the Giants host Emory & Henry in non-conference action on Wednesday, Dec. 19 at 1 pm. Keystone will then be off until Dec. 29-30, participating in the St. John Fisher Tournament against SUNY Cortland, Alfred State and the host Cardinals.
The Bears improve to 6-5 on the year.
Matthews shot 6-of-16 from the field (3-of-6 from deep) to go along with five rebounds and one assist.
Sophomore
Jeremy Jordan (Portsmouth, Va./I.C. Norcom) joined him in double digits with 14 points, going 4-of-8 from long distance and grabbing six rebounds.
Freshman
Tyrell Lacoste (Aberdeen, Md./Aberdeen) provided six rebounds and five points while junior
Jalen Flynn (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) tallied nine points and four helpers. Both freshman
Tyler Sebastian (Ledyard, Conn./Lee Academy) and junior
Ray Mills (Philadelphia, Pa./Overbrook) finished with seven points apiece.
Potsdam had four players finish in double figures as Nosa Onabor and Dante Langley both scored 20 points each.
