Giants fall to Franciscan, 5-0, Wednesday afternoon

Keystone to return to action Thursday against Albertus Magnus and Bay Path

Box Score North Myrtle Beach, SC--The Keystone College softball team suffered a 5-0 loss to Franciscan University today in the fourth game of a six-game Spring Break trip.

The Giants managed just three hits--one each by Alyssa Hughes (Sellersville, Pa./Pennridge), Ashley Constable (Bangor, Pa./Bangor Area), and Samantha Monetti (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North)--off of Franciscan starting pitcher Jaylyn Effertz, who improved to 3-0 on the mound this year, and reliever Amanda Pulice.  

Constable took the loss for Keystone, despite giving up only five hits.  The loss drops the Giants to 0-8, while Franciscan improved to 4-0.

Keystone closes out the trip tomorrow by taking on Albertus Magnus and Bay Path.
