HACKETTSTOWN, NJ—Senior
Nina Hodanich (Scranton, Pa./West Scranton) reached a personal milestone in Keystone College's 20-0 victory over Centenary University in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) action Saturday.
Hodanich finished with five goals and two assists to become only the second player in Giants' women's lacrosse history to record 100 points. She joins teammate
Emily Hawkins (Glenside, Pa./Cheltenham), who scored seven goals and had two assists today, to accomplish this feat.
Keystone, now 3-4 overall and 1-9 in the CSAC, also received six goals and an assist from sophomore
Savanna Robinson (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) and a goal apiece from juniors
Emily Hutton (North Bennington, Vt./Mount Anthony Union) and
Alex Smith (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin).
Hodanich reached the 100-point plateau with an assist on Hawkins' goal with 13:59 left in the first half. Keystone built up a 13-0 cushion by intermission behind five goals by Hawkins and three each by Hodanich and Robinson.
Keystone dominated every facet of the game. The Giants held a 50-4 advantage in shots, a 35-14 margin in ground balls, and won 17 of the 21 draw controls. Defensively, Keystone caused 21 turnovers, including four by Smith and three each by Hawkins, Robinson, and sophomore
Amy Llewellyn (Plains, Pa./Coughlin).
The Giants will host Cedar Crest College in CSAC action this Tuesday, April 10, beginning at 4 p.m.
