Field Hockey Drops 2-0 Decision at Molloy to Start 2018



ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. - Sept. 1, 2018 -
The Keystone College field hockey team dropped a 2-0 decision at Division II opponent Molloy College on Saturday afternoon to open up the 2018 campaign.

The Giants (0-1) will now prepare to host Wilkes in the home opener on Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 4 pm. Molloy improves to 1-0.

Overall, Keystone was outshot 10-8 but held the advantage in penalty corners 12-5. Junior keeper Megan Novak (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) earned the start and made six stops in the cage, facing nine Molloy shots.

Junior Savanna Robinson (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) led the Giants with four shots (three on goal) while sophomore Jackie Martin (Honesdale, Pa./Honesdale) followed with three shots.

Freshman Julia Blahut (Pompton Plains, N.J./Pequannock) tallied one shot on goal in her first collegiate game.
