LANGHORNE, Pa. – Jan. 10, 2019 – Freshman
Mac Oribello (San Diego, Calif./Westview) scored a game-high 15 points in just her second game with the Keystone College women's basketball team as the Giants held off host Cairn University 53-48 in CSAC action on Thursday night.
With the victory, Keystone improves to 7-6, 4-1 CSAC as the Giants will host Rosemont on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 1 pm. In addition, the road win snaps a three-game losing skid to Cairn.
Cairn drops to 6-6, 2-3 CSAC and the Highlanders will remain home and host Bryn Athyn on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 1 pm.
Oribello made three shots from downtown and shot 4-of-6 from the foul line while providing six boards and three assists.
Sophomore
Samy Farah (Sterling, Va./Potomac Falls) tallied 12 points, seven boards and three steals, going 6-of-10 from the field, while sophomore
Faith Shiffer (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove) tallied 11 points, a team-high eight rebounds and two assists.
Junior
Savanna Robinson (Laflin, Pa./Coughlin) and senior
Mayah Kitchen (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) provided eight and seven points, respectively, with Kitchen grabbing six rebounds.
The Giants led 32-23 at halftime but Cairn was able to cut into the lead by outscoring Keystone 10-7 in the third and 15-14 in the fourth.
