Jalen Flynn (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) pumped in a career-high 30 points to lead the Keystone College men's basketball team to their first win of the season – a 94-83 triumph over visiting Rosemont in CSAC action on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, Keystone now sits at 1-15, 1-3 CSAC and the Giants travel to York (N.Y.) on Monday, Jan. 14 at 7 pm, the final non-conference contest of the season.
Keystone will then travel to Clarks Summit on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 8 pm before returning home to host Centenary on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 3 pm.
In addition, the win snapped a four-game losing skid to the Ravens.
Rosemont drops to 5-10, 1-3 CSAC and the Ravens host Cairn on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 8 pm.
Flynn shot 13-of-23 from the field and 4-of-6 from deep to go along with four rebounds, three steals and three assists. Flynn scored 21 of his 30 points in the first half.
Joining in double-figures was junior
Austin Smith (Titusville, Fla./Florida Air Academy), who flirted with a triple-double, tallying 21 points off six three's, a team-high 12 rebounds and eight assists.
Freshman
Tyrell Lacoste (Aberdeen, Md./Aberdeen) scored 13 points and sophomore
Jeremy Jordan (Portsmouth, Va./I.C. Norcom) provided 11 points, all off the bench.
For Rosemont, Jalil Myers recorded a double-double with 24 points and 13 rebounds while Keith Blassingale scored a team-high 26 points.
