Austin Smith (Titusville, Fla./Florida Air Academy) tallied a game-high 26 points off the bench for the Keystone College men's basketball team on Saturday but the Giants fell to visiting Cairn University 83-78 in CSAC action.
With the defeat, Keystone drops to 0-14, 0-2 CSAC and the Giants will host Wilson on Thursday, Jan. 10 at 7 pm. Cairn improves to 8-6, 3-0 CSAC and the Highlanders will host Clarks Summit on Thursday, Jan. 10 at 8 pm.
Smith scored 23 of his 26 points in the second half, finishing 9-of-14 from the field and 5-of-10 from downtown in 31 minutes of play.
Junior
Jalen Flynn (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) enjoyed 18 points – scoring 13 in the first half – by shooting 7-of-15 from the field and 4-of-11 from beyond the arc.

Javonte Matthews (North Hollywood, Calif./North Hollywood) registered a double-double with 13 points and a team-high 10 boards while junior
Ray Mills (Philadelphia, Pa./Overbrook) provided 12 points, with a trio of three pointers.
For Cairn, Jeremiah Harris scored 22 points while four other players finished in double figures.
The Giants trailed only by two points at halftime (39-37) but a quick 15-0 spurt by the Highlanders started the second half.
