ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Jan. 5, 2019 – Sophomore
Faith Shiffer (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove) scored a team-high 17 points for the Keystone College women's basketball team but the Giants fell to host Cedar Crest College 60-53 in CSAC action on Saturday afternoon.
With the defeat, Keystone falls to 5-6, 2-1 CSAC as the Giants will host Notre Dame (Md.) on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 6 pm. Cedar Crest improves to 3-10, 2-2 CSAC and the Falcons will travel to Wilson on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 7 pm.
Shiffer shot 4-of-9 from the field, 2-of-4 from downtown and 7-of-10 from the foul line to go along with five rebounds and three steals on the day.
Senior
Mayah Kitchen (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) provided 11 points and seven boards while junior
Maddy Moro (Danville, Pa./Danville Area) tallied 10 points and seven boards off the bench.
For the Falcons, Geminii Cabrera tallied 17 points, nine boards, seven assists and three steals while Meghan Gregory scored 14 points.
Keystone trailed 39-26 at halftime but outscored the Falcons 27-21 in the second half, including a 15-9 third quarter advantage.
