Gordon Scores 23 in 73-47 Victory Over Notre Dame (Md.)

La PLUME, Pa. – Jan. 8, 2019 – Sophomore Khaliah Gordon (Philadelphia, Pa./Penn Wood) scored a game-high 23 points and four other teammates joined her in double figures as the Keystone College women's basketball defeated Notre Dame of Maryland 73-47 in CSAC action on Tuesday night.

With the win, Keystone improves to 6-6, 3-1 CSAC and the Giants head to Cairn on Thursday, Jan. 10 at 6 pm before returning home to host Rosemont on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 1 pm. With the loss, Notre Dame falls to 6-7, 3-2 CSAC and the Gators host Wilson on Thursday, Jan. 10 at 7 pm before heading to Centenary on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 1 pm.

Also with the victory, Keystone improves to 10-2 against the Gators (including the playoffs) since 2008-09.

Gordon scored her 23 points behind 8-of-17 shooting, going 4-of-7 from downtown, while notching eight boards.

Senior Mayah Kitchen (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter) provided 13 points, nine boards and two helpers and sophomore Faith Shiffer (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove) enjoyed 12 points, seven assists, five rebounds and two steals.

Junior Savanna Robinson (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./Coughlin) notched 11 points, three boards and three assists while freshman Mac Oribello (San Diego, Calif./Westview) tallied 10 points, six rebounds and six helpers in her Keystone debut.

The Giants led 34-23 at halftime and outscored the Gators 21-15 in the third and 18-9 in the fourth to run away with the key league victory.

Keystone shot 14-of-32 from downtown (43.8 percent) for the game and limited Notre Dame to 26.7 percent shooting from the field while forcing 17 turnovers.

In fact, the 14 made three-pointers for the Giants tied a single-game program record, as Keystone also made 14 against Arcadia back on Jan. 10, 2004 and Rutgers-Camden on Jan. 12, 2002.
